Month of Mary

May is the Month of Mary, a special time in the Catholic Church dedicated to honouring the Blessed Virgin. This tradition has deep roots, evolving over centuries as a way for the faithful to draw closer to Mary, the Mother of God. From the early customs of “Lady Month” in the medieval period to the formalised “Thirty-Day Devotion” during the Baroque era, May gradually became associated with daily acts of devotion to Mary. Today, throughout the month, Catholics around the world offer prayers, crown statues of Mary with flowers, and reflect on her virtues—not as worship, but as a deep expression of love, respect, and reverence for the Mother of Jesus.

You are warmly invited to join fellow parishioners in reciting the Rosary in front of her statue, 20 minutes before each Mass.
