The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
Thank you for seeking information about RCIA.
RCIA is a process that prepares, educates and then initiates adults into becoming Catholic.
If you are exploring the possibility of wanting to become a fully initiated Catholic, then this is the process for you:
The first step is to contact the Parish Office and arrange a time to talk to the Parish Priest. He will explain the details of the process and answer any of your questions.
The process generally takes place over an extended period of time. Normally, it commences towards the end of the year and culminates in the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil the following year.
At the Easter Vigil, adults who have journeyed through the RCIA process are Baptised, have the Sacrament of Confirmation conferred and then receive the Body and Blood of Jesus at the Table of the Eucharist during Mass.
You are welcome to contact the Parish Office with any initial queries you have regarding RCIA.
