The Cannon Hill Catholic Parish has numerous ways for you to develop in faith, be active in our Ministries and share your gifts to help and support others.

You are always welcome to speak to the Parish Priest or contact the Parish Office to learn more about any aspect of life in the Parish.

Welcome to Alpha! You may be wondering though … what is Alpha??

Alpha is not bible study, worship or like anything else you may have heard of or experienced before.

Alpha is a shared experience of food and conversation.

We invite you to come along to try Alpha at least once, enjoy a great meal and see what it is all about.

Anyone is welcome to attend regardless of your faith, belief or lack thereof.

You are free to be open and honest about how you feel about life without judgement.

The course generally runs for 10 weeks, but you can just come once and see if it works for you.

Little Lanterns Liturgy

(Volunteers Needed)

Have you ever wished your children would look forward to coming to Sunday Mass?

On the first Sunday of each month, Ronda Vorrasi, Norma Martiri, Paul Vorrasi and Barb Holford present Children’s Liturgy of the Word.

It’s a special time set aside for primary school children during Mass where they can experience the Gospel at an appropriate level in a fun, engaging and personal way.

Parents are welcome too!

(New singers of all ages are welcome, training provided)

The Parish is blessed with wonderful singers and musicians to lead us in worship.

A dedicated choir member coordinates the music for the Cannon Hill Catholic Parish and Nicole Alexander provides music for Sunday worship at Holy Family Church, Tingalpa.

Tracey Rowland leads the St Oliver Plunkett Church choir with Anne Fitzpatrick providing musical accompaniment, supporting the sung elements of the Liturgy.

Pete and Zonna Adraincem and their choir support the St Oliver Plunkett Church congregation in song, Tim Cody, singer and guitarist, plays each month with Ben Norris on cello. Dario and Janice have also joined the music ministry providing a fresh set of singers and styles to our worship.

Prayer Ministry

(New participants are welcome)

Salome Klayen and Edith Laffan lead a group that pray for the intentions of the Parish community.

Prayer intentions can be passed on via the Parish Office or placed in a box located in the foyers of both churches.
