Centacare Services

Centacare began with local people gathering to help others in their community. Today, as part of the Archdiocese of Brisbane, our team of more than 3,200 supports tens of thousands of people from more than 200 locations across South East Queensland.

Through education, counselling, innovative programs and support services, Centacare empowers people to find solutions, achieve their goals and live their very best lives.

In 2019, we partnered with 8,000 older Queenslanders to help them maintain their independence and live well in their own home and community. Our fully qualified team of physiotherapists, drivers, tradespeople, nurses, dietitians and volunteers offer a wide range of government-subsidised services. These services are provided in centres, in the community and in the home, according to our clients’ individual goals.

We also have a team of trained practitioners who provide family and relationships services. This includes counselling, family dispute resolution, marriage and relationship education and support for Queenslanders affected by domestic and family violence.

We also provide personalised support and services to help people with a disability achieve their goals and reach their full potential. To date we have supported almost 1,500 people to access the NDIS.

Centacare is a Catholic agency that supports diversity and celebrates individuality. We provide our services to the entire community, regardless of religion, circumstance, ethnicity, economic situation, age, gender or ability.
